Dreamsync Pro is a deep dive into the world of smart products and the promises they hold.
The appeal of perceived increases in productivity and automations for more comfort has been a strong force in welcoming these devices more into our surroundings, and even into the privacy of our homes.
To express our concerns, we assumed the role of a fictional company that designs, markets, and sells such devices. By using the language and aesthetics of big tech companies, we aim to showcase the absurdity of this development and call for a critical engagement with these products.
We were able to exhibit this project at [ARTIFICIAL] TERRITORIES - an interactive transmedia exhibition at Das LOT.
We were one of 12 interactive media-artworks created by 23 artists, which explored the use of artificial intelligence as a creative tool – playing, shaping and subverting it while raising critical questions.
