We founded ‘HPV-Impfung jetzt!’ in May 2023 to raise awareness of HPV and other sexually transmitted diseases in Austria. In our daily work, we break down taboos and stigmas, as well as we raise awareness.

Since our foundation, we have hosted the International HPV Day in Austria, an Austria-wide youth conference on HPV, participated in panel discussions and are now preparing another day of action, to further raise awareness.
We actively work with youth representatives, medical experts and patient organisations to be a young voice in Austrian health and to represent our perspective to decision-makers.

To kick of our HPValentines campain we had a billboard branded.

A cornerstone of our work was the Austrian government's decision to expand its vaccination programme to include free HPV vaccination for everyone under the age of 30. We did a lot of lobbying with different stakeholders to make this happen. In the end, the Austrian Minister of Health announced the extension at a press conference we organised.

As a result, more than 900,000 Austrians now have free access to the vaccine, and since July 2024, it's been one of the most widely used vaccination programmes in Austria's history.
In the first year, 130,000 Austrians between the ages of 21-30 years got vaccinated.
