“We R Drawing“ is a cooperative VR game that turns data into immersive drawings.
Collaborate with friends by sketching prompts in 3D using only your hands, transforming the act of drawing into a shared experience beyond the constraints of reality.
The game is designed to be accessible and natural, stripping away complex VR mechanics to keep the focus on creativity. Each level begins with a prompt tied to a dataset that is revealed after you complete your collaborative drawing. Watch as your creations dynamically change in size or number, revealing patterns and insights about the underlying information.
This playful approach offers a fresh way to engage with complex data, bridging creativity and knowledge.
We R Drawing encourages expressive play, fosters collaboration, and sparks curiosity about the stories data can tell - all in a vivid, immersive, and digital environment where the laws of nature need not apply.
In the process of designing and developing this game, we used different aproaches to get our imagined outcome - the vast array of online ressources helped us to finalise a playable prototype of our game.
All of us had no prior experience in working with VR or even Unity. There was a steep learning curve, also because we all could apply our different interests and skills at different ends of the idea, this really helped us to leverage our initial thoughts. We started off with experiencing ourselves the different games and interactions one could have in virtual reality.
